To enhance architectural education and research by integrating creativity, innovative design thinking, advanced technology, environmental sensitivity, and socio-economic priorities, while preparing graduates to lead in diverse professional settings and deliver sustainable, inclusive solutions for the built environment.

Introduction To Department:

The Department of Architecture offers a rigorous five-year Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) program focused on developing proficiency in design, planning, construction, and digital tools. The curriculum integrates theoretical foundations with studio-based learning to cultivate both creative and technical capabilities.Students gain hands-on experience through specialized laboratories in model making, computer graphics, surveying, environmental studies, and building materials, as well as through site visits and field studies that connect academic learning with industry practice. The program culminates in a final-year architectural design project and dissertation, requiring students to synthesize design innovation, technical knowledge, and research. Upon fulfilling all academic and practical requirements, graduates are awarded the B.Arch. degree and are prepared for professional practice in architecture.

Welcome to the Department of Architecture at Mehran University of Engineering & Technology.
At the Department of Architecture, we believe that architectural education is about more than learning to design buildings. It is about learning to see, to question, to understand, and to respond. Our students are encouraged to bring together creativity and knowledge, imagination and evidence, technology and human experience.
We see the studio as a place where ideas are explored, challenged, tested, and transformed. Through design, research, fieldwork, technology, and collaboration, we prepare our students to engage with the real challenges of our cities, communities, and environment.
We value architecture that is contextual, inclusive, environmentally responsible, and meaningful to the people it serves. We encourage our students to embrace new technologies and ways of thinking while remaining connected to culture, place, and society.
Architecture is a profession of ideas, people, and possibilities. Our aspiration is to raise a department where learning is active, creativity is valued, ideas are shared, and knowledge leads to action—preparing our students to contribute thoughtfully and constructively to the built environment.
